2020 has been a year like no other – one full of challenges that our world has never seen before accompanied with changes to the very fabric of our society. And now as this year comes to an end in the season of hope and new beginnings, Phonix Records is grateful and happy to gift to the world, the final EP from the Portuguese masters Algorhythm (Pedro Pinto and Hugo Costa/ Portugal) aptly titled, ‘Shadows Of Reality’.

After a few years in hiatus, the Algorhythm duo decided it was time to get back together one last time to end the project with a bang, and thus their final EP was born – a collection of 4 original tracks salvaged from old computers and hard drives.

Using their ‘Sacred Imagination’ the stage for the journey to come is set – expect powerful grooves, and epic goa inspired melodies without compromise. Things get more serious with ‘Shadows of Reality’ – a grim yet epic chapter which reflects the need to unleash the energy trapped inside of each of us. Leading us to reflect on the fact that this too shall pass – this too shall become the ‘Past of the Future’. A faster paced track that returns to the Algorhythm roots of night time full on with roaring melodies and bouncy basslines. And to end the journey is ‘Humans’, a hyper groovy melodic monster that should send any dancefloor into a frenzy!

With this, the final Phonix Records release for 2020 and their second FREE release, the label would like to thank their friends and fans for the support, especially Hugo and Pedro for trusting the team with their precious final EP and to Brain Driver for helping breath life back into these tracks with his (re)mastering efforts. Last but not the least, the label would like to remind their friends and fans that no storm lasts forever – this too shall pass!

And so, take us to your speakers for it is time to step forth into the Shadows of Reality!
