It is that magical time of the year again! Phonix Records is proud to present its third free release – V/A – Hope Springs Eternal Vol. 2! A surprise final release for 2021 following up on the still fresh and monstrous Killer Buds – Hacking Future EP.

2021 was a year of ups and downs and as we enter the season of hope and new beginnings – Ishikawa and amigo Archive teamed up to pool together their collection of lost stories in need of a little ‘hope’.

Over the course of a whirlwind 8 weeks – between booster shots, traveling, parties and regular label duties – these two twilight geezers were able to work with their favourite producers to put together this collection of lost and unreleased treasures! In some cases, these tracks are the final salvaged remnants of hard drives long lost, waiting to be find their way to the light – from unrealized to finally realized! Others were generously written and contributed specifically for this release.

A big THANK YOU to all the artists for their generosity in volunteering their work and time to help make this release a reality. Special mention to Ivan aka Ionkhe for pulling double duty on the artwork and German aka Ex-Gen for mastering services where possible.  On that note – Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Holidays all around!

In 2010, Paulo Etnarama founded Phonix Records to support fresh acts producing twilight psytrance. Later that year Ishikawa joined the label as a co-manager and together they worked to achieve their vision.
