A destitute wasteland, a world dying, a world without hope . a world without Disco. Enter the sonic wizard Skryre (Fergus McDermott / Australia). Awakening from a deep meditation spent perfecting his understanding of deep rhythms and cosmic grooves all to hone his brand of sonic magic - the time has come for him to end the 'Discopalypse'.

Phonix Records is proud to present Skryre's epic EP! The odyssey starts with the title track - 'Discopalypse' - an epic tale of deep groove and precise sonic distortions that culminates in exploding melodies - disco music like you have never heard before. So powerful is the story that we find ourselves stumbling into the second track - 'Reality Unwoven'. Energy resonating from the start of our journey, this story moves forward with a sense of mechanical chaos which is held together with the sheer will of our beloved wizard. Skryre musters all his power to take the mayhem and bend it to his will, piecing together reality with groove and melodies from another dimension. As things stabilize - we enter the final phase of the release. Skryre now draws on inspiration from the work of another sonic entity - the mysterious coRupt (André Rossouw / South Africa). Skryre puts an end to the 'Strange Fiction' he has born into the world - recasting the spell of coRupt but with his own special incantations. What we are left with is a fine tuned monster remix - retaining all the best elements of the original, with a healthy dose of groove, glitch and above all - disco.

Special thanks to the legendary sHiFt (Chris Hoy/Australia) for his unrelenting patience in helping master this release to perfection, and the lovely Alice Donnelly for the beautiful cover.

Enough said - it is time to do what we do best. Take us to your speakers. It's time to end the 'Discopalypse'!
