It is only natural to want to create, to alter the nature of things, the very world we live in. It is this sense of natural curiosity, the sense of purpose that drives us as species to create the most wonderful and amazing creations, that differentiates us from all other lifeforms on the big blue planet we call Earth.

Jose Luis Cruz Vera (Mexico), was the same. He chose to alter his world through the power of sonic frequencies and aural experimentation. What was born was something that no one saw coming, something beyond light and dark sides of reality - the X-Side - an awesome force of power and sonic energy. Over the years, 4 to be exact, X-Side has honed his sound and mastered the realm of sonic mayhem. And now he is preparing to take things to the next level.

To commemorate this milestone, 4 years of X-Side, Jose combined forces with Phonix Records to bring together his epic saga - 'Tormentor'. With this release, X-Side continues to explore the depths of high energy psytrance. The story starts with a reminder that 'You're not alone' - the will to create and the desire to master your world is all but natural. As you master the world, a degree of 'Power Consumption' is all but expected, and to truly tell this story X-Side reworked a masterpiece originally by Sinful Reactions (Portugal). The next phase is but obvious - to 'Dominate' and bend the world to your will! This is a special chapter of the saga as it features the winner of our Dominate Remixes competition - talented beat hacker T.C.N. (The Concept Nemesis) hailing from Mexico. The last chapter is anything but a peaceful end to this awesome journey - the story of the 'Vampire', originally written by Crazy Tone (Israel) but remixed by X-Side and accomplice in crime - the talented beat mechanic Psygamma (Israel).

With this, our 13th release - Phonix Records is proud to celebrate X-Side's awesome journey and above all - to bring forth the 'Tormentor' to aliens galaxy wide!
