about

Nearly a year after its release, 'Nuclear Army' by L.E.O.F and Ionkhe (Mario Funes and Ivan Lugo / Mexico) still haunts us. A deep exploration of psychedelic music, the original quickly became a Phonix classic - so much so that we decided simply one version was just not enough - the world needed more to fully appreciate the depths of this story.

With that in mind, the Phonix Labs experimented and manipulated to find two potent variants. Beat hacker FinalFlash (Robert Dalton / South Africa) is first to present his spooky, super powered and deeply resonating take on 'Nuclear Army'. Fat basslines and psychedelic twists all designed to push dancefloors one step closer to the edge . Not to be outdone is another unique retelling from Glitch (Dash Hawkins / South Africa). Unrelenting energy and pounding grooves are the hallmarks of this remix. All of this coupled together with Glitch's signature melodies, make it the perfect track to lead dancefloors into the danger zone - you have been warned!

With this release, our first release for 2020, Phonix Records is proud to continue its journey to push only the best in twilight psytrance. A special thanks to L.E.O.F and Ionkhe for their support of this release and to the talented FinalFlash and Glitch for lending their talents to this project. And now, as you have done so before and will do so for many moons more - take us to your speakers! It's time to embrace the Nuclear Army!
