Diamonds are the hardest substance known to man. Formed under only the most crushing of pressure and intense of heat deep in earth’s crust; they are the physical embodiment of beauty and purity with the ability to capture and bend light to their will. In all our explorations and interstellar travels – our scientists and wizards have never come across such a unique substance.

Enamored by this awe inspiring substance, the Phonix sorcerers began testing the waters of sonic augmentation and manipulation using diamonds. What they finally found was a revolutionary new way of producing sounds waves. Through this new forging process, these beat hackers were able to cut their sounds to a refined - and above all – sharp edge.

Phonix Records is proud to present – ‘Diamond Cut’ – a selection of polished twilight psytrance mayhem compiled by none other than Etnarama – owner and founder of Phonix Records. The release starts off with L.E.O.F – the deep and deadly alter ego of Mexican genius System Sequence – presenting listeners with a taste of what to expect from his new project exploring the realms of “Lysergic Experiments over Frequency”. Sonic wizard Zabot (Portugal) wastes no time in picking up the pace with his trippy and groovy “Cyber Horse” – a mechanized beast of beauty and magic. With the wheels set in motion, 3M (Mexico) goes further into the darkness and takes listeners deeper into the unchartered territory of “Neverland”. Deep in the darkness, Dexter (Portugal) finds a diamond in the rough – his unique remix to a Phonix classis, Demosys’ epic “Mary Shaw”. Following suit is the ethereal saga of melody and energy – South African shaman Hysteria’s answer to the deepest questions of the universe encompassed in his “Spiritual Solutions”. Last but not the least, Phonix Records is proud to present Omega Flight (UK) – who ends this fine release with a deep, twisted and haunting “Soundscape”.

With this, our 12th digital release, Etnarama and Phonix Records are proud to continue forward with the mission to promote the freshest and most potent twilight psytrance there is to offer. As we often say in the Phonix Labs, let’s get ready to rumble!
