about

Phonix Records is back after a long but fruitful hiatus. During our long break – we searched far and wide and finally found where we were meant to be. We were meant to go back to the start, back to our roots. And thus we found ourselves working with twilight master himself – Shift (Chris Hoy).

Inspired by the Mayan god of Evil, ‘Huracan’ – this EP is a roller coaster ride deep into the twilight realms. Starting off the release is the groovy and cheeky, ‘Multiverse Theory’ – Shift explores psychedelic soundscapes only the way he can. Setting the tone for the title track - ‘Huracan’. This is an epic tale of light and dark, in some ways the oldest story known to us. Expect serious basslines and huge acid leads. You have been warned! To finish up this epic release, Shift is joined by Priest (Rameez Regon) with the super psychedelic and bubbly ‘Spirals’ into madness. Tripped and ripped out – ‘Spirals’ will resonate with dancefloors and kick up some dust! Watch out for those dancefloor zombies!

Phonix records is immensely proud to present the work of Shift – a legend of the scene and sound we love and continue to promote.
