Lysergic Recs partners with Phonix Records to deliver a one of a kind release. Compiled by Ishikawa this release pulls deep from the well of night full-on music where wondrous and deadly delights wait to be found. Enter the realm of the Lysergic Animals.

The release begins with "Just Phasing" from sHiFt (Chris Hoy/South Africa), a legend who delivers a deliciously groovy beast to initiate the journey. Saibot (Arel Bank/ Israel) takes us into the cosmos with his "Black Night Satellite" - a haunting story of how less is more - a lesson learned deep in the void. And here in the void, a spark can be everything you need as is evident with "Dissipate" from mastermind ReFractor (Luan Boes/ South Africa). Deep, moody and waiting to be unleashed on an unexpecting dancefloor.

Once the animals are out - expect them to play. "Vision Seeker 23" from Psyphoria (Don de Valle/Australia) thrills with panned lazers and cheeky breaks but listeners are warned - this beast packs quite a bite. Pushing the limits to manic levels is ‘Exordium’ from Hypometric (Pie Berger/United Kingdom), the sonic embodiment of a raging octopus! A store drenched in acid leads, one of the more frightful delights found in the realm of the Lysergic Animals. Never missing a step, Inside Brain (Luis Cruz/Mexico & Edi Jesus/Portugal) and Mega (Alex Herrera/Mexico) push things to the limit with "Spaceship". Pure sonic power - the combined forces hunt their prey with lethal grace and no hesitation.

Reaching a fevered frenzy, we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The epic "Darkness of Times" by sorceress China Rose (Rebecca Broadbent / United Kingdom) pushes the release into our final stages with its ethereal melodies and here we find SKP (Peter Strachan) helps center listeners with "Existent" - a potent expression of the twilight magic that infuses the sonic realm we explore. And then the light is here - "Freedom" from AxonDop, the new project from atSar (Pedro Trindade/Portugal) - will seal the portal to the Lysergic Animals. Slow but deliberate, magical but precise, an ode to things that were and to things that will be.
