Zabot is Daniel Zabot do Peso from Portugal.

Since a little boy, Daniel had some curiosity and passion for music in general. During his childhood he got more interested and earned a special passion for percussion and rhythm.

It grew and developed a good notion of rhythm where his mainly instruments were railings and iron surfaces, and also tables including the secretary made of wood from his class. Later he had the possibility of having his own djambe, then a darbuka, berimbau, didjiridu, amongst other tribal and ethnic instruments.

His first contact with electronic music, which got him more interested, was in the end of the 90`s, when one of his friends showed him a CD with various artists and electronic music such as Trance, Tribal House, Drum and Bass, Hard House, and Techno, amongst others. After this, he started to explore more and more his interest for electronic music and its various styles, listening and mixing at home, just for fun.

In 2003 he had his first contact with Trance scene in Portugal, as it was his first event of this kind of music. He was dazzled with all the feelings music gave to him, and he was truly identified with this genre, which made him explore the musical production and decided to study advanced electronic production in Lisbon (Portugal).

A few years ago, he started to produce his own music and created his solo project, ZABOT, where he expresses his feelings and visions for music. His music can be described as Psychedelic, Goa, trance, and owns a string of successful releases under his belt.
